Industry Internship

We are committed to helping students bridge the gap to their future careers by providing interdisciplinary professional internship opportunities through collaborations with sports teams, sports science centers, strength and conditioning organizations, school sports departments, and the sports industry.

These internships allow students to apply their skills in sports training, strength and conditioning planning, sports analysis, instructional design, and sports management in real-world scenarios. This strengthens their professional skills, builds practical experience, and establishes substantial connections with the industry, laying a solid foundation for future careers in coaching, education, or other sports-related fields.

Alumni Legacy

The department’s alumni are found across all fields of athletic careers, from coaches and strength and conditioning coaches for domestic and international teams to secondary school physical education teachers, sports science researchers, and industry professionals, forming a strong professional community.

Through the “Alumni Legacy” program, alumni give back to the department with their experiences, including career sharing, back-to-school lectures, workshops, internship guidance, and advice on athletic development. They provide the most relevant perspectives across different career paths, helping current students understand the career spectrum, diverse development directions, and the realities of working.

The support from alumni provides students with concrete guidance in athletic growth, research directions, and career planning, building a cross-generational network of sports professionals and forming a unique culture of legacy within the department.

Career Activities

To assist students in further exploring and establishing their future directions, the department has planned a variety of career development activities, including: hands-on workshops in sports science, lectures on athletics and physical fitness, faculty development consultations, industry recruitment information sessions, career exploration courses, alumni experience sharing, and research pathway consultations.

These activities are closely aligned with the career paths of alumni, helping students understand the skill requirements and job content of different roles, and providing opportunities for direct interaction with industry professionals and alumni.

Through these career activities, students can better understand their own interests and strengths, and plan more suitable career paths in athletics, teaching, research, or the sports industry.
